Re: Goodbye lovely EV...!

... and $1000 Honda allowance for being a Fit EV owner , Was this something automatic, or did you need to do something to get it? Our Fit is coming up on it's 5 year mark, and it may make sense to take a hard look at the Clarity before year end. I've driven the PHEV, but not yet tried the Electric.

Re: Lease extension beyond five years?

I was told by Honda today that they will not be allowing me to extend my lease beyond the five year point. Seems strange since they are still leasing Fit EVs to new customers. Sign up to lease one that hasn't been extended? You can jump on the Fit EV site and find out what is near you.... http://au...

Re: Considering leasing again FITEV

All freeway? What speed? At 55 mph it might be doable ~ 3 seasons. Anything below about 50 degrees or at higher speed it gets really questionable. Any chance the dealer will let you take it for an extended test drive and try it for yourself? It's 61 miles round trip to the airport (relatively flat) ...

Re: Redlands to Forest Falls

In the above measurements, I used the trip meters to record the distance and efficiency (miles/kWh). I used the fob to measure the state of charge. Given the 20 kWh battery pack, the state of charge numbers can also be used to calculate the power consumed and thus the efficiency. I notice that ther...

Re: Lease extension beyond five years?

Honda would indeed like to get as much use out of the Fit EV's as possible. An example: Drive Oregon is partnering with the Hacienda Community Development Corporation on the Community Electric Vehicle Demonstration Project (C-EV). Join us for a celebration of the launch of the C-EV Project on March ...

Re: Should i Lease Honda FITEV Preowned

As much as we all like the Fit EV, it is not suitable for the situation you described. The number of miles you will put on eliminates most leases with the exceptions being unlimited mile leases. The Fit EV (not enough range) and the IONIQ (keeps getting delayed, and pricing and other details are unk...

Re: leviton evb32 m5l broken, need new,cord

There is nothing special about the charge cord on the Leviton, so most replacement cords will work, The only issue is to make sure it is rated for at least 32 amps. Here are a couple of options: Replacement cord https://www.amazon.com/Charging-Station-Replacement-Charge-J1772/dp/B01CPST45G Replaceme...

Electric Clarity details

Honda has announced a few details on the upcoming 2018 all electric version of the Clarity 80 miles of range for $35,000  I was hoping they would have an interesting offering to follow up the Fit EV. Guess not. The Hyundai IONIQ electric has 124 miles @ $29,995. The Bolt EV has 238 @ $37,495 Th...

Re: Maintenance Required

My light just came on today......and I didn't realize the maintenance schedule was so quick....at about 115 miles a day (commute) this will take about 67 work days to require maintenance....so long as I am driving it to work. That's actually a lot sooner than I normally service my KIA......I used f...
