I've actually found the Fit to be decent in the snow. The narrow tires, heavier weight, engine braking and electronic traction control has kept me on the road and not gotten stuck, yet! Even steep hills haven't been a problem.

OK, took it out last night with about an inch of snow on some of the back roads by me. I take back what I said! It was pretty good. The traction control kicked in a lot and it wasn't easy keeping it in a straight line, but I was able to stop and handle turns as long as I kept the speed down. I also made it up my friend's steep unplowed driveway. Took two tries, but I made it!

Good to hear other's are having positive experiences with the snow traction. I could manage without the winter tires too, but I don't like holding up other drivers while I'm white knuckling it at 20 mph. And we all know there are many different types of snow cover. Fresh snow is usually not too bad, but a half melted slushy mix can be a real tread clogging problem. Winter driving is actually one of my favorite pastimes but I can't enjoy it without premium winter tires.

That was the difference for me, Mike. The slushy/salty mess is much worse than fresh snow. I still won't take it down to NJ during snow. Removal and salting here in NY state snow country is much better. :D

It would have been nice if Honda gave us the option to have the Fit EV based on the Fit Twist instead of the Fit Sport.
