This winter on the East coast have been very cold and had 28 miles showing on a full 100% charge. Hoping a fix will be coming. Got my Fit EV on 12/30/13 and loving it. I am hooked on EV and will probably get another EV once this lease expires. My credit card bill was $300 lower not buying gas. WOW.

I have never seen < 40 mile range with > 90% charge. I park in our unheated garage which definitely helps even now that it stays above freezing at night. I have seen inside temps < 30. I usually drive in eco except for occasional acceleration periods. The eco keeps it from accelerating too much. It is hard to drive in the red since it is a bit more touchy. Eco gives the gradual acceleration which save a bunch. I can't understand why people are in such a hurry to race to the red light. 90% of the time I see no increase in commute time by taking it easy on the acceleration and the times I don't come to a complete stop is a bonus. You can never recover the added acceleration from braking. I guess I made it a habit to conserve energy since I got my EV in early Feb. Lots of times arriving. First 2 weeks with only 120V charging was rough. 33 miles each way to work.

I don't know how many people know this, but the key fob/car will only read down to 15°. I cannot even tell you how many times this winter my car has been near, at or below zero before I started to work. Those are the sub 40 mile (sometimes sub 30 mile) range days. This really has been a bitterly cold winter. Don't worry, I'm planning on a garage sooner than later.
