First look at the Honda Fit EV from the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2011

Honda Fit EV Side View
The Honda Fit EV is based on the same platform as the gasoline powered Honda Fit.

Honda Fit EV Front View
Note the lack of a normal grill in the front of the Honda Fit EV - the electric motor needs much less airflow for cooling, so the design of the hood and bumper has been modified slightly to eliminate most of the normal grill opening.

The interior of the Honda Fit EV is very similar to the gasoline Honda Fit - there are some different gauges to monitor battery charge, distance driven etc, and there are also some other wording on switches and shifters.

Under the hood of the Honda Fit EV
It's hard to see exactly what's going on here, but it looks like the motor and controller are packed in there under a casing. See the standard location of the Honda Fit EV battery on the right hand side. The rest of the batteries are hidden from view, and aren't located under the hood of the Honda Fit EV.

Rear cargo space in Honda Fit EV
Considering this was originally a gasoline vehicle that Honda has converted to an EV, there appears to be a large cargo area. Other conversions, like the Ford Focus Electric, use some of the trunk space for the battery pack.

The badging on the car is about the only way to tell it's a Honda Fit EV and not a gasoline powered Fit.
