Just picking it up at the dealership. Apparently I beat out everyone else by coming in right after they made the announcement of the lease price drop to $259. Went in on 5/31/13 to make a deposit... followed up to meet all the requirements, and walked out with a new Fit EV on 6/5/13. Dealer told me there were 10 people waiting for this car that came in after me.

So my average commute is about ~26 miles and I hadn't charged my car in a few days. So I took this on my way to work:

I think I'm doing pretty good at 4.7 miles per kwh. Once I figure out which fuse cuts the power to the daytime running lights might even go higher

And getting back I had about 2 miles to spare.

I've had if for a week now and its great- quiet & fast.

I've taken it to the city and charged it overnight in my friend's spot for free at his parking garage. Its kinda sketchy driving to the city with it- the LV 1 chargers are 3-7 dollars an hour and you would only regain 6 miles for each hour it charges.

And I didn't realize how expensive the factory J1772 cable is. I think most people probably think its just an extension cord. Luckily the nozzle has a hole to put a small lock through...

Edit:
Forgot to mention- I've been using the PlugShare app to find more places to charge. I decided to check out the Tesla charging station at the mall- they said other EV's could use it but its really meant for Tesla owners. I just got my Leviton LV2 charger from Honda yesterday so I'll be setting that up this weekend. I can't really go the city unless I top up, and at LV1 speeds I would have to plan way ahead

Shall we say, different. Will the new Honda Fit be a success? I bought it for a run-around car to save my Vette's miles. It ok for this purpose ...
