 Post subject: Cold weather fuel efficiency - Electric vs. Gasoline

FleetCarma came out with an interesting infographic detailing a comparison of electric vs. gasoline for cold weather fuel efficiency. Some interesting points are:

1. BEVs exhibit an average aggregate reduction in range of 29% when comparing temps of 73 degrees F vs. 0 degrees F.
:o HA!!... guess they didn't include data from the FEV in that analysis! I'd say the FEV gets a 66-75% reduction in range.

2. ICE vehicles exhibit an average aggregate reduction in range of 19% when comparing temps of 73 degrees F vs. 0 degrees F.

3. When comparing energy cost savings (cost per mile), EV PAYBACK IMPROVES IN COLD WEATHER.
