It ended in the same place where it all started almost six years ago. I turned in my first electric car to Keeler Honda, just two months shy of the June 3 return deadline. It had 65k miles on it. The salesman who looked it over for the odometer disclosure statement remarked on how nice and new the car still looked. I showed him the original light gray cloth floor mats, that were perfect because they never had a shoe touch them. I had them covered the entire time. He raised his eyebrows up when he realized that this lease went for six years. He had never seen that before. Of course I had to explain to him about the Fit EV story, as virtually no one at a Honda dealer knows anything about them. The last photo is of the car driving away behind the building, never to be seen again. It was because of this car that I founded my local EV group, have hosted 5 National Drive Electric Week events, and will never buy another ICE car.
